Ps despatch February and. Since the above was written I have received from Your Lordship the subjoined telegram of the 31st instant :-
"Inform Manager Eastern Company, Government will approve junction between Eastern and Chinese Companies at Kowloon on terms granted at Shanghai by Chinese Government, provided present agreement respected, and Chinese use Eastern Office at British Frontier.
It will be seen from the above despatch
